The Kronborg Castle is located on the most North-West point of Denmark. The location of the castle allowed for Denmark to restrict passage of ships through the Oresund waterway, which grants ships direct access to the Baltic Sea. This made it possible for Denmark to collect something called "Sound Dues", which is basically a fee for passing through the Oresund waterway. B
